

Tech Center Receives Accreditation for Graphic Communications
The Carroll County Career and Technology Center has been awarded PrintED® accreditation in the areas of Introduction to Graphic Communications, Digital File Preparation, and Digital File Output, effective June 2007 through June 2012.
The PrintED® program, administered by the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation (GAERF), is a national accreditation and certification program, based on industry standards, for graphic communications courses of study at the secondary and post-secondary levels. Courses of study must meet standards in at least two of the following areas to receive accreditation: Instructional Staff; Facility, Equipment and Safety; Instruction; Purpose; Administration; and Program Budget.
Students who are enrolled in PrintED® accredited programs and meet specific requirements are eligible to participate in the following PrintED® national online examinations: Introduction to Graphic Communications, Press Operations, and Digital File Preparation. Individuals who attain sufficient scores will be certified in those specific areas.
The Carroll County Career and Technology Center will be listed on the GAERF website at www.gaerf.org as one of the many nationally accredited institutions recognized by the graphic communications industry.
