Economic Development Releases Broadband Study Results
Westminster, MD - The Carroll County Department of Economic Development released the results of the Broadband in Carroll County, Maryland - A Review of the Market, Products, and Services report. The study was commissioned in an effort to assess the current marketplace and encourage new private sector development in this area.
"Access to broadband is a critical infrastructure in today's global marketplace for both small and large businesses", stated Lawrence Twele, Carroll County's Director of Economic Development. "Improving broadband access and affordability will help Carroll County's business attraction, expansion and retention efforts."
Columbia Telecommunications Corporation (CTC) performed the primary work for the study in the fall of 2006 and examined the broadband products and services currently available to residents, businesses, and government.
