Founded in 1961 as Carroll County General Hospital, this expanding medical institution is a non-profit, acute care facility offering comprehensive services including, inpatient, outpatient and community programs. In December 2003, the hospital opened its' new Emergency Department featuring state-of-the-art equipment and more than twice the space. Additionally, the center is completing construction on a new "bed tower" which will increase patient capacity and aid in the hospitals mission to provide the latest in medical technology and increase its highly skilled medical staff.
