Carroll County is proud to co-sponsor of the "Go Green Energy Conference" hosted by Congressman Roscoe
Bartlett on June 7th.
Residents and business owners will learn practical ways to save money, use less energy, and help our country transition to cleaner domestic and renewable energy sources. Exhibitors and experts will convene to bring up-to-date information on the latest green technologies and energy-related government incentive programs.
Keynote presentations will be given by Senator Benjamin Cardin and Malcolm Woolf from the Maryland Energy Administration. The Go Green Energy Conference is the premier forum for business to business networking, agribusiness sustainability initiatives and energy saving idea exchange. Stop by the Carroll County Economic Development booth to say hello.

In an effort to help employers promote telework options to increase employee productivity and job satisfaction, as well as reduce

traffic congestion and air pollution, the Baltimore Metropolitan Council and the Maryland Department of Transportation have developed a comprehensive teleworking website -

Farmers' Market Season Here AgainJune officially kicks off the Farmers’ Market season in Carroll County. Carroll is home to an increasing list
of farmers’ markets, farm stands and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) subscription opportunities offering local and nutritious fruits, vegetables, baked goods, jams’ and jellies, eggs, meats and other locally produced goods.
Farmers’ Markets include the Carroll County Farmers’ Market, Downtown Westminster, Hampstead, Taneytown and Main Street Mt. Airy Farmers’ Markets. Carroll is also home to over 22 individual farm stands with many offering CSA opportunities.
