Go Green

Reduce your company’s operating costs and environmental impacts through free, state-supported programs.

The Maryland Technology Extension Service (MTES) offers on-site waste reduction assessments that are completely voluntary and non-regulatory. A customized report is generated from the assessment that lists specific recommendations that the company can implement to use energy, water, and raw materials more efficiently.

MTES also offers assistance with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System implementation through on-site meetings and educational workshops. For more information on these programs and services visit the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) website and click on “Go Green” under “Featured Links”. The site also lists a Business Information Center full of information on managing air, water, and land resources.

To arrange an on-site visit from one of the regional environmental assessment experts, contact MDE or Denise Beaver at 410-386-2070.
