Anderson Appointed as Business Consultant
The Carroll County Business and Employment Resource Center (BERC) welcomes Kathy Anderson as the new Business Consultant serving Carroll
County employers. Kathy brings over 20 years of Human Resource management experience to her new position with expertise in employee recruitment and retention; wage, salary, and benefit administration; policy development and compliance; orientation and training; and union negotiations. Her responsibilities have included management and staff positions within the fields of healthcare, manufacturing, banking, retail, and the federal government.

Ledley Serves as New Maryland DBED Representative for Carroll
The Maryland Department of Business & Economic Development has assigned Carroll County resident Tammi Ledley as the regional representative for the County. 
In this capacity, Tammi is available to meet with businesses to discuss and facilitate access to State programs and services. This includes business retention and training programs, as well as financing and technical assistance services.

MS Across America Schedules Pit-Stop at
Carroll Community College
On Friday, September 21st from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, the Microsoft Across America truck will be
stationed at Carroll Community College to showcase and demonstrate new Microsoft products. The event is geared toward IT professionals and small business owners that need help with technology. MS technology experts will be on hand to answer user questions and the college will be holding additional information technology classes for business. Attendees must register online to tour the truck.
