Carroll County Annual 4-H/FFA Fair to Begin the Last Weekend of July
The Carroll County 4-H/FFA Fair brings animals, exhibits, music, demonstrations, and wholesome
family fun to the Carroll County Agriculture Center in Westminster July 28- Aug 3. The events have no admission charges, offer free parking, handicap accessibility, great entertainment and a showcase for our agricultural community. This week also provides an opportunity for us to show our support for our local farmers and agribusinesses and welcome visitors to the area.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily in Burns Hall with a special “All-U-Can-Eat” pit beef and pork dinner on August 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Good eats and good times – you can’t ask for anything more so close to home.
Information for all fair events can be found by visiting the 4H/FFA Fair website or by calling 410-848-FAIR.

New Carroll County "Buy Local Challenge"
During the Week of August 4th – 11th we are issuing the first an
nual Carroll County Buy Local Challenge. We want you to think FRESH, LOCAL, and SEASONAL when you make choices about buying and preparing food for meals and snacks. There are 19 farms, orchards, produce stands and farmers’ markets active in the County where you can purchase the freshest vegetables or the juiciest fruits harvested during their peak growing seasons.
The location of these markets along with harvest dates for local produce can be found in the newly published Carroll County, MD Farmers' Market Directory. Join with your family and friends to make this a special outing and a new summer tradition to support our local farmers.
