Economic Development Salutes Businesses for 2008

For the second year in a row, the Department of Economic Development and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce joined together to salute successful and growing Carroll businesses. A special awards program and dinner was held at The Portico of St. John in Westminster on November 20th.

Guest speaker, noted Maryland Public Television’s Your Money & Business host, Jeff Salkin (pictured at right) addressed the crowd of nearly 130.

Director Lawrence Twele said “It is an honor for us to recognize and applaud the valuable contributions that these businesses make to Carroll County. Capital investment and job creation drives local economic growth and these outstanding businesses are a key factor in our success.”
