EAC Seeks Nominations for Environmental Awareness Awards

The Carroll County Environmental Advisory Board (EAC) is currently seeking nominations for the 2007/2008 Environmental Awareness Awards.

Five awards are to be given in the following categories:

• Individual – Honoring any individual that has made a difference in instituting or forwarding environmental thought or action
• Student – Honoring any student for similar efforts
• Institutional/Educational – Honoring any institution for similar efforts
  
• Agricultural – Honoring any farmer/resident for similar efforts
  
• Business/Industry – Awarded to any private or corporate sector firm that took action that resulted in the betterment of the environment
  

Nominations are due no later than March 1, 2008.  The EAC will select one winner from the nominations received in each category.  The awards will be presented by the Board of County Commissioners in mid April; the exact date has yet to be determined.  For more information contact Kim Petry via the Office of Environmental Compliance at 410-386-2756.

To lessen the impact on the environment it is preferred that nominations be submitted via email to eac@ccg.carr.org.  If that is not an option, please fax the nominations to 410-386-2594; as a last resort, nominations may be mailed to:
