Economic Development Releases 2006 Annual Report

This week the Carroll County Department of Economic Development released its 2006 annual report.

The annual report highlights accomplishments for last year including new and expanding companies, commercial and industrial assessable base, technology development, business retention & expansion, marketing and agricultural development. The report also includes information from the Business & Employment Resource Center and the Carroll County Office of Tourism.

"We have a good story to tell," said Lawrence Twele, Director of the Carroll County Department of Economic Development. "We are very proud of our accomplishments and new initiatives in 2006 and it is important to share this information with the community."

Over 1700 copies have been distributed to businesses, partners and stakeholders.

Copies of the 2006 annual report can be obtained by contacting the Department of Economic Development at 410-386-2070. Copies will also be made available at branches of the Carroll County Public Library, as well as local municipal offices.
