

Skyline Network Engineering, LLC Awarded Contract
The Board of Commissioners of Carroll County has awarded a $750,000 contract for Project Management & Network Operations Management Services of the Carroll County Public Network (CCPN) to Eldersburg-based Skyline Network Engineering, LLC. CCPN is a partnership between the Carroll County Government, Carroll County Public Schools, Carroll County Public Library, and Carroll Community College.
"Skyline Network Engineering, LLC will be helping Carroll County Public Network partners to make innovative use of today's technologies" stated Brian Holsonbake, Vice President. "We will obtain and manage the resources necessary to support the planning, engineering, construction, and operations of the Carroll County high-speed fiber optic public network."
Gary Davis, Chief Information Officer of Carroll County Public Schools and CCPN Chairman added "At the completion of this project it is estimated that the CCPN will save over $900,000 a year in leased line costs and this public fiber optic network will enable all municipal and government partners to implement new technology applications, services, and resources to better serve the citizens of Carroll County."
